We don't often hear from our foster friends, but what fun -- this time we did!  These two pups stayed with us earlier in the summer, along with 4 siblings.  They were adopted by friends and get to visit one another regularly.  And when Bowie's family noticed our blog mentioned at the CCHS website, and recognized the pictures, they let us know that Bowie and George are doing well.  Good to hear from you!

  1. How wonderful for you! It's great to hear from former fosters.

  2. Definitely. We may do this with the total intention that the animals move on -- but that doesn't mean that we do not become attached. We do very much -- it is just a different sort of attachment. We love our fosters deeply -- as I know you understand, it is just that the goal of that love is that they live a full wonderful life but not necessarily owned by us. To see Bowie and George together, with families who love them, -- that is just EVERYTHING we work for.

  3. Such sweet words! Thank you again for all you do and for giving Bowie such a great start on life. My fiance just LOVED the pictures you sent me of the puppies! I'll be sharing them with George's family and hopefully Hazel's (Jillian) family as well (we made contact with them at the farmer's market).

We're trying to get all three pups together for a little reunion. If any of the other parents of the puppies from our litter see this blog please e-mail me at susanraerodgers@gmail.com.

    Thanks!
